urban75: tech tech stuff >how's it made? >photos

I get a lot of letters asking how the site is made, so hopefully, this will answer some of your questions!

Hardware: I use a self-assembled (and rather noisy) Athlon 2800 machine at home and a tiny Sony Vaio laptop on the road. Some updates are written on my Sony Clie TH55 Palm Pilot.

Software: For HTML coding I use the excellent Homesite 5 (occasionally I use Dreamweaver MX, but find it farts around with code too much for my liking). I use TopStyle 2.5 for the style sheets and code checking is done with the firm but fair, HTML Validator.

For graphics, I predictably use PhotoshopCS, Xara X for vector graphics and Flash MX for the, er, Flash stuff. Images are uploaded using CuteFTP and sound editing done with Sound Forge 5

Hosting: urban75.com is hosted by the mighty fine Netscalibur while urban75.org/.net is on Exonetric
